Enter up to 7 tiles (or more if board bonuses apply), add a ? for any blank tile, and hit 'Find Scrabble Words'. Results pull from the TWL tournament word list used in official US and Canadian Scrabble — switch to SOWPODS in Options for international (Collins) play.

How to use the Scrabble Word Finder

  1. Enter your rack — up to 7 tiles, 15 max when accounting for board letters
  2. Add wildcards — use ? for blank tiles (no point value, but opens up big plays)
  3. Set filters (optional) — narrow results by starting letter, ending letter, or a must-include letter already on the board
  4. Choose your dictionary — TWL for US/CA tournaments, SOWPODS for international rules
  5. Hit Find Scrabble Words — results sorted by Scrabble point value, highest first

Scrabble strategy tips

  • Go for the bingo. Playing all 7 tiles earns a 50-point bonus. Always scan for 7-letter words before settling for a shorter play.
  • Burn your high-value tiles wisely. Q, Z, X, and J are worth 10, 10, 8, and 8 points — but only if you land them on a double or triple letter square. Don't waste them on low-value positions.
  • Hook into existing words. Adding a single letter to a word already on the board lets you score across multiple words in one turn. Short hooks like S, D, or ER can rack up serious points with no extra tiles.
  • Use blanks to unlock big words. Blank tiles are worth zero points but are most valuable completing a bingo or enabling a premium-square play that wouldn't otherwise be possible.
